i visited thailand 4-5times.
i think i have done a lot of activities there.
but.. the most thing i loved(still love) is living there like a local person.
all i try to do while traveling is experiencing local life.
as a result, i have lots of friends everywhere i have ever been.
specially thailand, its the best country for me.
once, i got a chance to live in my friend's house for a month. alone!!
i had thai food as breakfast with my thai friend everyday. and i used local transportaion like a blue truck.
my friend's house was in nonthaburi. i didnt see any foreigners around that area. so i learned thai language to communicate with people there.
everything i did while living there was perfectly thai style ! i hung out with thai people all the time and visited lots of enjoyable local spots.
i didnt think of myself as a foreigner while i was staying there at all. i did things local people usually do in their daily lives.
it seems hard to be close to thai people because they are shy. once you try to be friendly, they will be your best friends!
my point is that..
if you want to learn their culture and get to know them better, think of yourself as one of them.
and open your mind !!
then, you will see the new world !!
